Almost Summer…

--

There is nothing like the feeling of finishing your last final and feeling free to take some time for yourself after months of hard work! You can finally try a new restaurant or outdoor activity during your time off.

This is a guide to your perfect summer in Milwaukee!

I want to start out by sharing some restaurant favorites! Whether you are looking for brunch, lunch, or somewhere to go for dinner, there is something for everyone.

Here are my top 3:

What would a summer in Milwaukee be without going to Summerfest?

This year, the iconic Milwaukee music festival will take place over three separate weekends (June 22–24, June 29-July 1, and July 6–8, 2023) Thursdays-Sundays. With over 800 acts, there is truly something for everyone!

My highlights:
Zach Byran: July 7
Earth, Wind, and Fire: June 30
ODESZA: June 30

Time spent outside is also a great way to spend your time in the summer! Here is a compiled list of outdoorsy fun so grab a buddy and some sunscreen and enjoy the city.

· Kayaking on the Milwaukee River
· Jazz in the Park
· Collectivo on the Lake
· Milwaukee Night Market (my personal favorite!)
· Brewer’s Games! Here is the schedule.

When the weather starts to get nicer, there is no better place to be than Bradford Beach! Less than a 15 drive from campus, it is the perfect way to relax, get some sunshine, and spend time with friends!

It’s sweet-treat o’clock! I want to share some suggestions for ice cream and custard in Milwaukee@

· Purple Door
· Kopp’s Frozen Custard
· Leon’s

Hopefully, after reading my suggestions of what to do this summer in Milwaukee, you feel inspired to get off campus for a little while and try something new!
