With the stresses and anxiety that many of us face, it can be hard to find a nice and easy way to reduce these stresses. Mindfulness exercises offer a way to manage stress and anxiety in a healthy way and can be done anytime and anywhere. Incorporating mindfulness into your everyday life has been proven to have only positive effects on the mind.

THE EFFECTS OF MINDFULNESS

Mindfulness is an excellent way to relax your brain, especially when our minds are constantly on the move. Mindfulness is “used to refer to a psychological state of awareness, the practices that promote this awareness, a mode of processing information and a character trait.” When our mind wanders, we tend to forget things and get distracted, which causes more stress than necessary. Research has found that mindfulness meditation helps with cognitive awareness, reduces distractive thinking, and helps us remember and recall memories easier.
